Many homes in Essex will have photographs by John Alexander Studio on their walls. Some families may even have photos from three generations taken by John & Rowena.
John inherited his love of photography from his maternal grandfather who was a keen amateur in Victorian times. John went on to pursue a career as a professional photographer instead of becoming a chartered accountant and following in his father’s footsteps.
John taught Photography evening classes at the school in Shipwrights Drive now called King John School.
